  1. Which bus stations will be upgraded? Hanley bus station was only recently relocated does it need upgrading already?
Would this investment be better spent on rail transport and upgrades to stations for eg Longport, Kisdgrove?
Should we be encouraging travel by rail rather than by road to reduce air pollution and ease congestion.
Are there any plans for a tram system?

    1. Hi Karen very valid points and there is a link to the councils article … I am interested as a local business in this investment and agree with your comments …. maybe there is scope for setting up an online forum to lobby our local councillors and MP to review where the investment is made. I think local people need input into where this considerable investment is spent.

      1. We could do with extra subsidies to bus fares its cheaper for families to travel by taxi. We can also encourage leaving car behind

I think that it an excellent point – I am thinking of starting a facebook forum so we can flag these point to the council, by the way I am just a local small marketing business interested in the post by the council and opened this to debate on my blog, I think it would be great to give the MP and the City Council our feedback.

  2. Does this mean Harriseahead Mow Cop will get some sort of bus service..Isolation is bad enough at the moment.Having to pay for taxes if you want to go out costs a fair bit you can add £10 on to your shopping bill. Also been isolated because you can not get anywhere can cause depression which can to lead to loneliness or even suiside.

  4. Think some money should be set aside for staff training, regarding customer service, a lot of drivers, don’t acknowledge you when you get on the bus, and alight the bus, find some very ignorant, I’m always polite, pity certain drivers cannot be the same.
